Fotios Asimakis, violin

Fotios Asimakis was born in Athens in 2006 . He started his music education at the age of 6 when he began to learn how to play the piano and then he changed to violin at the age of 10 . For the four last years he has been studying at the Athens college next to Yannos Margaziotis and he is going to graduate next year . He is a member of the youth orchestra Camerata Junior at the Megaron -The Athens Concert Hall under maestro Nikos Haliasas and has participated in many concerts all around Greece . He has performed as a soloist with Camerata Junior and with the orchestra of the music association ‘’Efterpi’’ under Tasos Xirakis . He won the 1st prize of the national competition ‘’Tasos Pappas’’ at the age of 15 . He has participated in Masterclasses with Hrachya Harutyunian and Dimitris Semsis where his performance was met with special praise.
