Ai Motohashi, piano (Japan)
Ai Motohashi graduated from the Essen Music Academy. She is the 1st prize winner of the PTNA in Tokyo (1993), of Pinerolo piano competition in Italy (1997), while in 2003, she won the "Richard Wagner" scholarship. As a soloist and as a chamber musician, she has collaborated with several orchestras and artists in the USA, Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Greece. She is principal pianist with the Ergon Ensemble.
Ars longa, vita brevis
In August 2014 the ICMFC celebrated its 10th anniversary and the 150 years from the inauguration of Apollo Theatre of Hermoupolis, with a saying by Hippocrates of Cos (460 – c. 370 BC), an ancient Greekphysician of the Age of Pericles (Classical Greece), "Ars longa, vita brevis", an expression that perfectly describes what has been achieved in the festival's first decade.
